The ultimate Ph.D Lecture & Movie at KTH Kista

Jorge Cham, the creator of PhD Comics is in town! (http://phdcomics.com) As you may have noted that his “Ph.D. Movie” will now be screened in several academic locations around Stockholm in the coming weeks. The School of ICT together with the KTH PhD Student Union (Doktorandsektionen) provides now the unique opportunity for KTH Ph.D students to not only see the movie but to meet Jorge in the flesh, and listen to his talk “The Power of Procrastination” . The will also be a book signing event where you have the possibility to purchase signed copies of Jorge’s new book “Chapter 4: Academic Stimulus Package”. At the end of the event to The PhD Movie will be screened.

PhD Candidate Pubs during the Autumn

During the autumn, we will hold several pubs in the chapter house "T-centralen",Drottning Kristinas väg 29. Do come and enjoy the company! There is a wide assortment of beer and other beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic).

The first pub will be during the next week and there are two pubs that will follow it during the autumn:
Friday Oct. 28
Friday Nov. 11
Friday Nov. 25

As always, the vehicle engineering chapter keeps the pub open every Friday (except exam weeks, when it is open on the Saturday instead), and if you feel that the PhD candidate pubs are spaced to widely, you are just as welcome to join any other pub that they arrange as well.

Also please remember the yearly Christmas party - as last year, we will celebrate the Christmas party on the Lucia day, Tuesday Dec. 13. More information will be given later on!
